1b.        Directions to The Cathedral Hill Hotel

                From the North, Marin County

                From the Golden Gate Bridge, exit at Lombard.  Follow Lombard to  Van Ness Avenue.

                Turn right onto Van Ness Avenue and proceed to the hotel (approximately 15 blocks).  The

                hotel is located between Post Street and Geary Boulevard on the right hand side of the street.

                From the South, San Francisco International Airport and San Jose

                Take US 101 North to San Francisco and follow the signs to the Civic Center.  Take the

                Mission Street exit (Mission Street is after the 9th Avenue Exit) and turn right at the end of

                the off ramp onto Mission Street and at the first light turn left onto Van Ness Avenue.  Follow

                Van Ness Avenue to Geary Boulevard and turn left on Geary Boulevard.  The hotel

                entrance is the first driveway on the right off of Geary Boulevard.

                From the East, Oakland International Airport and the East side of San Francisco Bay

                Proceed on I-80 to the Bay  Bridge. (From Oakland International Airport proceed North

                on I-80 to the Bay Bridge.)  Pay the 2$ toll and go across the Bay Bridge and exit on the

                right side at the 9th Street/Civic Center exit.  At the signal proceed straight ahead onto

                Harrison Street.  Go one block on Harrison Street and turn right on 9th Street and

                immediately get into the left hand lanes of 9th Street.  At Market Street the left hand

                lanes of 9th Street will turn into Hayes Street.  Proceed down Hayes Street to Franklin

                Street and turn right onto Franklin Street.  Proceed to and turn right onto Post Street.  Turn

                right into the hotel driveway just before Van Ness Avenue.
